As parents, one of the most incredible things we have witnessed is our son Theo becoming fully bilingual at just five years old. We are not a Spanish speaking household, so when we first explored Spanish immersion, we were hopeful but unsure what to expect. Alma Flor Ada exceeded every expectation we had. Theo did not just learn Spanish, he began thinking in it, communicating confidently, and moving seamlessly between English and Spanish in everyday conversation. Watching that transformation has been nothing short of amazing. Beyond the language itself, the care, intention, and educational philosophy at Alma Flor Ada are what truly set it apart. Theo is excited to go to school, feels safe and supported, and is clearly being challenged in the best possible ways. The teachers have an incredible ability to nurture curiosity, confidence, and cultural awareness, all while creating a warm, family centered environment.
