Alma Flor Ada is a full-day Spanish Immersion Early Learning Academy designed for children ages 16 months through Kindergarten.
We provide structured, nurturing, and academically intentional programming in a fully immersive Spanish environment, while supporting social, emotional, and cognitive development.

In order to ensure a seamless experience for our students and families, tuition provides access to full-day immersive education programming, with before and after care options available to support working families.

Scheduling a tour is the best way to experience Alma Flor Ada first hand. You will see our classrooms, meet our team, and get a feel for the environment your child would be learning in.
Simply choose a date and time that works best for your family.
Our tours are offered Monday-Friday from 9am-11am.
If you can't make a tour during our standard hours, please give us a call at 651-999-3952, or send an email to [email protected] so we can work with you to accommodate your schedule.
We also host Open House events most Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. Follow our social media pages for the latest dates and announcements.

The 90/10 Learning Model
Alma Flor Ada uses a proven 90/10 dual language learning model designed to build strong bilingual skills from the very beginning. In this approach, approximately 90 percent of instruction and daily interaction happens in Spanish, while 10 percent is supported in English, especially when clarity or emotional reassurance is needed.
This immersive environment allows children to naturally acquire Spanish through play, routines, music, and conversation, even if they come from non Spanish speaking households. As children grow and gain confidence, the balance gradually shifts to support full bilingualism, strong comprehension, and long term academic success, all while nurturing a love of learning and cultural connection.

As parents, one of the most incredible things we have witnessed is our son Theo becoming fully bilingual at just five years old. We are not a Spanish speaking household, so when we first explored Spanish immersion, we were hopeful but unsure what to expect. Alma Flor Ada exceeded every expectation we had. We're Building A New School!
At the end of 2025, Alma Flor Ada broke ground on a brand new school in Woodbury, located at the intersection of Tamarack and Bielenberg Roads near TopGolf. The new school is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2026, and will support continued growth while preserving the warm, community focused experience families value.
